Sadly it is let down by graphics that are far too reminiscent of Far Cry 4. The world is lush and vibrant, brimming with life and danger. Here's our review.įirst off, Far Cry Primal is a dazzling game. Throughout the story Takkar (our unseen protagonist) will go from simple hunter to beast master and then ultimately tribe leader as he aims to protect the Wenja from all manner of evil in the valley of Oros. While these will restore most resources you will need to collect new weapon resources from you reward pack while checking out the new rewards.Far Cry Primal is the latest in the Far Cry franchise and this time around we're in the Stone Age following the exploits of cave man Takkar. It will then report Beast master hunt completed and you will receive the blood tusk mammoth skull. Sending an animal as a distraction and then hitting it with a club is also a good idea.Īfter you have defeated it you will have to move closer and press the interact button you will stroke its face before slipping a stone shard into its throat. The spaces there are cramped so the best tactic is running while firing arrows and spears at it. After you have depleted another third you will chase it to the final hunting ground. These not only damage it but temporarily stun it for 2 seconds. Once you have depleted a third of its health you will chase it to the next hunting ground where there are geysers. If immobilized send a beast to attack it. Once the mammoth arrives throw a flaming spear to attract its attention and then run through the traps while firing arrows. There are lots of Udam hunters but try not kill them they see the Mammoth as their prime target they will also despawn when the mammoth is killed. Once you have found the hunting ground prepare traps using hardwood. You must then follow clues to find the hunting area. There will then be a 10 second animation in which you see the mammoth killing a Wenja and charging at a seemingly impenetrable barrier. You must first speak to the Wenja hunter.

You can set it on fire but due to the climate it does not stay on fire for long. You can easily run away but it is persistent enough to chase you and always keep you in sight. What it makes up for strength it loses in speed. The Bloodtusk Mammoth has four tusks and deals 1 more damage than an elder mammoth.

Located in the far north this is the only hunt which ends in the death of the animal as mammoths are not tamable. The Bloodtusk Mammoth is first introduced in Farcry Primal in one of the beast master hunts.
